Hamas fires volley of rockets from south Lebanon toward Israeli bases

The military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas says it has fired rockets toward the northern part of the occupied territories from south Lebanon.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the Qassam Brigades said 40 rockets had been fired toward Israeli military sites on the Lebanese border.
The rocket strike was a direct response to the Israeli campaign of death and destruction in the besieged Gaza Strip and the assassination of resistance commanders in southern Lebanon in January, Qassam stated.
An Israeli strike in January martyred the deputy leader of Hamas Saleh al-Arouri and six other people in southern Beirut.
