Full occupation of Gaza or a disaster bigger than Vietnam?

Pars Today – A Zionist analyst has warned that a full occupation of Gaza would be a "greater mistake than America’s blunder in Vietnam."
Criticism within Israel over the continuation of the war in Gaza has intensified. Analysts say that as the conflict drags on, it is revealing new dimensions of military failure for Israel. According to Pars Today, citing Tasnim News Agency, Nadav Eyal, a Zionist analyst, compared the Gaza war to Vietnam, warning that a full occupation of Gaza could be an even bigger mistake than the U.S. military’s mistake in Vietnam.
In an article for the Zionist newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, Eyal wrote: "Slogans like 'disarming Hamas' or 'preventing its rule' can only be achieved if Gaza is fully occupied—but this scenario, in his view, would plunge Israel into an endless 'Vietnamese quagmire.'"
Emphasizing that the Palestinian Islamic Resistance, Hamas has not been defeated, he noted: "Since last March, 38 Israeli soldiers have been killed—an average of 10 per month. The highest casualties occurred in June, proving that Hamas’ combat capabilities have not diminished."
Eyal pointed out that recent Hamas attacks took place less than two kilometers from the border fence in the Beit Hanoun area—zones the Israeli military had declared "secure." He stressed that these attacks mark the complete failure of Israel’s so-called "security perimeter" strategy.
He also dismissed the proposed "Rafah Humanitarian Plan" as a "new delusion," asking: "How do they plan to relocate two million Palestinians to southern Gaza? Who will fund their living expenses? How can they prevent Hamas from returning? Even the plan’s designers have no clear answers."
Meanwhile, Arad Nir, an anchor and analyst for Channel 12 of the Zionist regime’s TV, criticized prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s policies in Gaza, stating: "Israel’s policy is turning Gaza into a forced labor camp."
Nir slammed Israel Katz, the Zionist regime’s war minister, for his recent plan to forcibly relocate all Palestinians in Gaza to Rafah in the south under the guise of creating a "humanitarian city." He argued: "When you concentrate people in camps and feed them on ruins, you’ve essentially set up a forced labor camp."
At the same time, Raanan Shaked, another writer for Yedioth Ahronoth, launched a scathing attack on Netanyahu: "He’s busy with propaganda, traveling to Washington, and taking photos with Trump—while soldiers are dying every day."
Shaked added: "The prime minister ignores the suffering of families. Negotiations over prisoners are moving slowly, even though 640 days have passed since the war began."
The Zionist analyst stressed: "The illusion of victory is being sold to the public, while claims about narrowing gaps in negotiations have no connection to the bloody reality on the battlefield."
