Pars Today - The highest Shia authority in Iraq, in a message regarding the American-Zionist aggression against Iran, announced: We condemn the unjust war in the strongest terms.
According to Pars Today, Ayatollah Sistani, the highest Shia authority in Iraq, issued a statement on Saturday, calling on all effective international parties and countries of the world, especially Islamic countries, to make their utmost effort to stop the American-Zionist aggression against Iran.
The message issued by Ayatollah Sistani in this regard stated:
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
O believing men and women, now the blessed Eid al-Fitr, the Eid of mercy and forgiveness, has dawned upon us after a blessed month of fasting, night vigils, and worship. This is the day of divine rewards; a day when God boasts of you to His angels. So, may the acceptance of your deeds be a blessed occasion for you, and I ask God to bring back this Eid with goodness, blessings, and good fortune for us, for you, and for all the Islamic Ummah.
O dear ones, although Eid is full of joy and merriment, the hearts of believers are torn with sorrow today as they witness the calamities and tragedies befalling our brothers in faith and humanity. While we joyfully proclaim God's greatness with the blessings He has bestowed, the cries of children are heard, the tears of grieving mothers flow, and the flames of fire blaze over the homes in Iran and Lebanon, as military aggression against these two [countries] continues.
We condemn this unjust war in the strongest terms and call on all Muslims and free people of the world to condemn it and show solidarity with the oppressed nations of Iran and Lebanon. We also call on all effective international parties and countries of the world, especially Islamic countries, to make every effort to stop this war.
