European gunmen killed in Turkish army attacks in Northern Syria
Two European gunmen are among a number of Kurdish militias killed in clashes with the Turkish army and Ankara-backed militants in Northern Syria.
The Kurdish sources said that Kendal Briz from France and Bran Galicia from Spain, two European members of the Kurdish militia groups in Northern Syria, were killed in clashes with the Operation Olive Branch forces in Afrin region in Northwestern Aleppo.
In the meantime, other sources reported, according to FNA, that the two European gunmen have been killed in Turkish airstrikes during the past week.
The Kurdish-language Hawar news reported earlier today that the Kurdish units stormed the Turkish army positions in Qara Khan region in Hatay province and managed to destroy a management base that was leading Operation Olive Branch in Afrin.
Hawar news said that seven Turkish soldiers were killed in the attack.
It further said that the Kurdish fighters attacked the Turkish soldiers and Ankara-backed militants near the villages of Qoudeh and Belilka in Rajou region, killing 13 soldiers and militants.
Also, the Turkish Army General Staff announced in a statement that a Turkish soldiers was killed in clashes with the Kurds in Afrin.
