Pars Today - A senior military officer in the United States Air Force has started a hunger strike in order to draw the world's attention to the tragic situation of the people in Gaza.

Active-duty soldier, Larry Hebert, began his hunger strike outside the White House on Monday.

Having left his duty station in Spain, Hebert carries a handwritten note with him that reads "Active duty airman refuses to eat while Gaza starves."

Inspired by Aaron Bushnell, another military protester against the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza, this American soldier has gone on a hunger strike.

Bushnell, a young American pilot, on February 25, set himself on fire in protest against the White House's support for the blatant genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza by the Israeli regime after capturing video footage, in front of the embassy of the Zionist regime in Washington.

“It’s just completely wrong and immoral for civilians to be starved and bombed and targeted in any manner. So, that’s what the hunger strike is specifically for.,” said Hebert in an interview, adding: " what Aaron did was courageous and emotional for me. It really resonated, because what he was feeling was exactly how I was feeling. "

Calling Bushnell's protest, a unique and effective measure, Hebert said: " what really infuriated me was the silence thereafter his actions. I don’t know a single member of our government or leaders in the military that really spoke on Aaron, even uttered his name. But I had seen people in Yemen and in Gaza, you know, holding up his picture and sending their condolences."

The crimes perpetrated by the Zionist regime in Gaza have faced reactions from public opinions in various countries demanding an end to the war in Gaza, including citizens of the US, Britain, and Italy who have protested several times in recent months against the genocide by the Zionist regime in Gaza.
