BRICS condition for Western countries to join de-dollarization
Pars Today- The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, whose country chairs the BRICS group, said that the condition for the Western countries to join the trend of de-dollarization is their transparency.
Sergey Ryabkov, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, pointing to the BRICS' attempt for de-dollarization in the global dealings, said, "Those Western countries which intend to join the de-dollarization trend in the global dealings, should act transparently in their goals." According to Pars Today, quoting from IRNA, Ryabkov added, "Moscow, during its presidency of this international group, has acted in the way of undermining dollar and its recognition in agreements, and gives over the continuation of this trend to Brazil as the next chair of BRICS."
The Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, saying that de-dollarization will have risk due to illegal sanctions, made it clear, "There are solutions to protect against such measures."
The newly emerging economies, called BRICS, was founded in 2006 by Brazil, Russia, India and China, and during the following years, South Africa, Iran, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Ethiopia joined the group gradually.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, participated in last week's session of the group as a main member.
