Media’s role in building global trust discussed at Russian World Forum
Pars Today – The 6th Beijing International Children’s Film Festival concluded in China’s capital, featuring young audiences, art university students, and cinema industry professionals from various countries.
Li Ge, director of the 6th Beijing International Children’s Film Festival, told TV BRICS in an exclusive interview that this year showcased the best cinematic works from around the world, offering audiences an opportunity to experience cultural diversity. According to Pars Today, Li Ge added: “Collaboration with TV BRICS has opened new horizons for international exchange and creative cooperation. Establishing a special section for films from BRICS member countries has strengthened dialogue and interaction among participants, presenting more inspiring and engaging stories to global audiences.”
At the conclusion of the festival, in the BRICS countries’ competitive section, Boat No. 5 by Reyhaneh Kavosh from Iran and Lighthouse Bear from Brazil were recognized by TV BRICS as two outstanding films.
Festival participants benefited from an extensive educational program, including specialized classes, lectures, and creative workshops. Experts from Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America shared their experiences in directing, acting, visual storytelling, and international film distribution.
Examining role of media in building global trust at Russian World Forum
At the 17th Russian World Forum held in Moscow, a session titled *“New Dimensions of Media: Strengthening Dialogue and Trust-Building”* was organized in collaboration with the international network TV BRICS. The session was led by Zhanna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, and Mahasha Pit Rampedi, editor of the African Times from South Africa.
Experts at the session emphasized the key role of international media cooperation in building trust among countries and nations.
They also highlighted the importance of joint initiatives, the use of digital platforms and artificial intelligence to create a transparent and reliable media environment, shaping a multipolar information space, and developing human-centered cooperation within the framework of BRICS and BRICS+.
