Pars Today — The deputy speaker of Iran’s Parliament said that Palestine is the foremost issue for the Muslim world and emphasized that the Zionists must be tried for the crimes they committed in the Gaza Strip over the past two years.

Hamidreza Haji Babaei, the Deputy Speaker of Iran’s Parliament, met and held talks with Mousa Hadeed, the Deputy Speaker of the Palestinian Parliament, on the sidelines of the Inter-Parliamentary Union conference in Geneva.

According to Pars Today, the Iranian deputy speaker stated that Palestine is the foremost issue for the Islamic world, and emphasized that the Zionists must be prosecuted for the crimes they have committed in Gaza over the past two years.

Haji Babaei stated that the proposal of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the establishment of a Palestinian state based on the vote of the land’s original residents, with al-Quds as its capital. He added that the Americans and the Zionist regime do not adhere to international law. In reality, he said, the Americans and the Zionists are one and the same, since the Zionist regime does not take any action without the approval of the United States.

Meanwhile, Salar Velayatmadar, a member of Iran’s Parliamentary National Security Commission, stated that the Zionist regime’s roots are illegitimate and condemned the annexation of the West Bank along the Jordan River aimed at expanding settlements. He said, “The Knesset of the Zionist regime is a parliament of lawlessness, and its resolutions have no international legitimacy.”

Seyed Salman Zare, a member of Iran’s Parliamentary Legal and Judicial Commission, stated that Iran’s scientific progress has always upset and angered its enemies. He said, “The U.S. and the West repeatedly adopt new policies and different methods to eliminate Iranian scientists and harm the country’s elites, but the scientific foundations are not destroyed, and new scientific figures take their place.”
