Pars Today- Russia’s representative to international organizations in Vienna has rejected the NATO secretary general’s claims about Iran, saying that he has no knowledge of Iran’s nuclear program.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Mikhail Ulyanov, Russia’s representative to international organizations in Vienna, wrote in a post on X on Thursday, referring to recent remarks by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte: “This gentleman claims to be the highest executive official in NATO. Judging by his statements, he has no knowledge whatsoever about Iran’s nuclear program.”

Ulyanov stressed: “The level of professionalism—or lack thereof—in the West is a real disaster.”

Referring to the so-called “Epic Fury” operation, Rutte said on Wednesday that since February 28 this year, around 5,000 aircraft had taken off from European bases in support of the war against Iran.

Referring to the role of European military infrastructure in the US operation, he said: “One could argue that carrying out this operation without using Europe as a platform for the projection and deployment of US power would have been very difficult, if not practically impossible.”

Rutte, claiming that only the United States “has the capability to destroy Iran’s nuclear capabilities,” described Iran’s nuclear program as a potential and imminent threat, claiming that it poses a danger “not only to Israel and West Asia” but also to Europe.

This is not the first time such remarks have been made by the NATO secretary general. In July and August of this year, he also acknowledged in various interviews and statements Europe’s support for the United States in its military aggression against Iran and even disclosed details of the participation of countries such as Italy in providing logistical support for the US war effort.
