Trump is right to take troops out of Syria, now they must leave Iraq & Afghanistan
Oct 22, 2019 17:24The U.S. president’s decision to end the illegal presence of American troops on Syria, albeit partially, in order to take them out of the firing range of the invading Turkish army and Syria’s Kurdish defenders, was the right step, and if Donald Trump is capable of properly gauging the international situation, he must withdraw all American military personnel from not just Afghanistan and Iraq, but from all of West Asia and North Africa.

It is a depressing and, owing to the pathos, a tragi-comical spectacle, as Boris Johnson and before him Theresa May took turns to worsen the situation as the date draws near for “Brexit” and the end of London’s membership in the European Union (EU).
