OIC condemns US decision against UNRWA

Pars Today - The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, in a statement, condemned the US decision against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA).

The statement said: "We regret the decision of the US government to remove the legal immunity of the UNRWA agency and we call on Washington to reconsider this decision, resume funding for UNRWA, and pressure Israel to uphold its commitments to the international agency. The statement emphasized UNRWA’s crucial role, its irreplaceable nature, and its vital function as a lifeline for millions of Palestinian refugees, particularly in the Gaza Strip./ IRNA
