Pars Today – Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said following the martyrdom of Nosrat Eftekhari that those responsible for ordering and carrying out the crime would not escape justice, wherever they may be.

According to Pars Today, citing Mehr News Agency, Qalibaf made the remarks in a message of condolence over the “tragic and cowardly martyrdom” of Dr. Nosrat Eftekhari, deputy for cultural and social affairs at the Law Enforcement Command in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Baluchestan Province, who was martyred while serving the public.

He added that Eftekhari was a skilled and well-educated woman who came from the community she served. Rather than distancing herself from hardship, she went directly into deprived areas, working in the province’s most remote and overlooked locations to address the problems of local residents, ethnic groups and tribes, while promoting solidarity, building trust and helping resolve people’s everyday difficulties.

This, Qalibaf said, demonstrates that sustainable security is rooted in deep ties with the people and efforts to improve their lives.

The Iranian Parliament speaker stressed that this terrorist crime once again demonstrated that the enemies of Iran’s security and peace cannot tolerate public servants who work to solve people’s problems and strengthen social ties. Those who carried out and ordered the crime are accountable for the pure blood of this martyred woman and the Iranian nation, wherever they may be, and will not escape justice. The relevant authorities must pursue the case with full force until all those responsible for carrying out and ordering the crime have been identified and firmly punished.

Qalibaf noted that the assassination of public servants is a sign of the enemy’s strategic desperation in the face of Iran’s social capital, adding that any attack on these pure lives would come at a cost that would leave the perpetrators regretful.

He concluded by saying that maintaining an effective presence among the people, addressing deprivation more seriously, and strengthening unity and solidarity among ethnic groups and religious communities are undoubtedly the main ways to continue the path and uphold the principles of the martyred woman.

He added that such indiscriminate assassinations would neither extinguish the light of service nor weaken Iran’s resolve to safeguard its people’s security and dignity.

Dr. Eftekhari was martyred in a terrorist attack on the Cheshmeh Ziarat route in Zahedan, in southern Iran. She had been dispatched to the area to take part in community service activities and address the problems of ethnic groups and tribes living on the outskirts of Zahedan.
