Baghaei: Arash symbolizes sacrifice and responsibility toward Iran

Pars Today- The spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry has stressed in a message that a nation’s identity is rooted in shared memories and values that transcend differences and individual tastes.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei wrote in a post on X on Friday night about attending a performance of the play Arash:

“Tonight, I watched the fine performance by Iran’s talented artists in the acclaimed play Arash. In this portrayal, Arash is not merely a hero drawn from mythology; he symbolizes sacrifice and responsibility toward the homeland, values that must always be honored and kept alive.”

Baghaei continued: “Myths are not merely stories from the past; they are a nation’s shared memory, connecting us, like an invisible thread, to our roots, to one another, and to the meaning of Iran.

“The sight of fellow Iranians with diverse views and tastes gathering to revisit a shared myth reminds us that a nation’s identity, beyond differences and individual preferences, rests on shared memories and values. At historic turning points, what binds us all together and unites us is nothing other than our homeland—Iran,” the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson added.
