Iran's reaction to French FM’s nonsensical remarks
Pars Today - The permanent representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations said in a letter to the UN secretary-general and the rotating president of the Security Council: "The French Foreign Minister made baseless claims that such accusations are either the result of a fundamental misunderstanding or a deliberate distortion of Iran's legal rights under international law."
Amir Saeid Iravani said in a letter to the UN secretary-general and the rotating president of the Security Council: "The French foreign minister made baseless and politically motivated claims regarding the peaceful nuclear program of the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the baseless claim that "Iran is on the verge of developing nuclear weapons." Such accusations are either the result of a fundamental misunderstanding or a deliberate distortion of Iran's legal rights under international law." Iravani added: "This claim is completely baseless and politically irresponsible, and the Islamic Republic of Iran has never sought to acquire nuclear weapons and has not changed its defense doctrine."/ IRNA
