Palestinian Information Office: Nearly 21,000 children martyred in Gaza

Pars Today – The Palestinian Information Office has reported that 21,976 children have been martyred in Gaza amid the ongoing genocidal war against the Palestinian people.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, the Palestinian Information Office on Sunday released documented figures on Palestinian child casualties in the Gaza Strip. The figures show that 21,976 children have been martyred amid the continuation of the Israeli regime’s war against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Of these, 1,125 were infants under one year old, while 612 babies were born during the war and subsequently killed.

The office stressed that children, women and elderly people account for more than 55 percent of all those killed in the war, a figure it said demonstrated the “destruction of an entire generation” as a result of attacks and crimes by the Israeli army, in full view of the international community.

The office also reported that 650,000 school-age children had been deprived of their right to education. The number of orphaned children had reached 62,247, including 2,774 who had lost both parents. Another 8,394 children had lost their mothers.

Regarding hunger and malnutrition, the Palestinian government’s Information Office warned that 650,000 children were at risk of death, including 40,000 infants. It also reported that 164 children had died from hunger and another 28 from extreme cold, 25 of them inside displacement camps.
