Iranian boys win Taekwondo World Championship
Pars Today – On Wednesday, Iranian Boys’ Taekwondo Team won the championship title at the World Cadet Championships held in the United Arab Emirates.
This edition of the competitions began on Saturday, May 10 with 811 taekwondo athletes from various countries participating. Hosted by the United Arab Emirates, the event took place at the Sheikh Zayed Hall in the city of Fujairah. After five days of competition, Iran’s team claimed the championship title with two gold medals and one silver. Kazakhstan, with the same number of medals but fewer points, finished as the runner-up, and Uzbekistan came in third with two golds. In the girls’ division, Iran’s team placed fifth with two silver medals and one bronze. (IRNA)
