Pakistani PM: We are committed to strengthening strategic cooperation with Iran

Pars Today – Following his Monday meetings with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the president of Iran, the Pakistani Prime Minister stated that Pakistan attaches great importance to Iran's role in the Islamic world and reaffirmed his country’s commitment to enhancing strategic cooperation with Iran for regional peace and security.

Writing on social media platform X after his meetings in Tehran with Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and President Masoud Pezeshkian, Shehbaz Sharif said: “It was an honor to meet with Ayatollah Khamenei. I thanked him for Iran’s role as a mediator and for expressing concern over Pakistan during the recent crisis in South Asia.” He reiterated Pakistan's continued commitment to strengthening bilateral and strategic cooperation with Iran for peace, prosperity, regional stability, and the mutual interests of both nations. / IRNA
