Wall Street Journal: Yemen has challenged world’s most powerful navy
Pars Today – In a report acknowledging US strategic failures against the Yemeni Armed Forces, The Wall Street Journal wrote that after months of fruitless military operations and heavy losses, Washington finally accepted a ceasefire with the barest conditions.
The report highlighted the US Navy’s inability to subdue Yemen’s military and noted that the ceasefire, accepted under President Donald Trump, exposed serious strategic vulnerabilities within the US Naval Force.
The Journal wrote: “Yemenis, operating with the most basic equipment in one of the world’s poorest countries, have astonishingly challenged the mightiest navy on earth. Despite limited resources, the Yemeni forces have dragged the US Navy into its fiercest naval confrontations since World War II.” (ISNA)
