Baghaei: US sanctions on ICC judges & staff are disgraceful and outrageous

Pars Today – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei has condemned US sanctions targeting four judges of the International Criminal Court (ICC), calling the move disgraceful and reprehensible.

In a post published late Saturday on X (formerly called Twitter), Baghaei wrote:  "While the United States continues to abuse its authority in the UN Security Council to prevent the adoption of a resolution to stop the Israeli genocide in Gaza, it is abusing its power and influence to ensure maximum impunity for the Israeli regime for committing horrific crimes and ethnic cleansing in Occupied Palestine."

He added: “It is time for the international community to rise up against such brutality, which is shaking the very foundations of international law and undermining fundamental human values.” / IRNA
