Mexico protests crackdown on migrants in Los Angeles

Pars Today – The president of Mexico has criticized US authorities for their harsh suppression of migrants during recent protests in Los Angeles, stating that violence is not the answer to addressing migration.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed on Monday that 35 Mexican nationals were arrested during anti-immigration raids conducted by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) forces in Los Angeles.

“We do not agree with this approach to handling the phenomenon of migration,” Sheinbaum said. “Migration cannot be solved through raids or violence.” (IRNA)
