Nabih Berri: A conspiracy against UNIFIL and Lebanon is underway

Pars Today – The speaker of Lebanon’s Parliament warned on Tuesday of a developing conspiracy against United Nations peacekeeping forces (UNIFIL) in Lebanon.

Nabih Berri, in a meeting with Jean-Yves Le Drian, the French President’s Special Envoy to Beirut, and his accompanying delegation, discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region.

He reviewed political and field developments in light of the ongoing occupation of Lebanese territories by the Zionist regime, its continued aggressions, and repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

Berri cautioned that a plot is taking shape to target UNIFIL forces in southern Lebanon and, by extension, harm Lebanon itself. (IRNA)
