Hiroshima mayor: Trump must understand reality of atomic bombing

Pars Today – The mayor of Hiroshima compared the recent attacks by the US and Israeli regimes on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities to the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki by the United States during World War II, stating that the US president has no grasp of the reality of atomic warfare.

Kazumi Matsui, Mayor of Hiroshima, called on US President Donald Trump to visit the city in western Japan after comparing the recent assaults on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure to the 1945 nuclear bombings. Matsui said “Trump does not understand the reality of nuclear bombing. It seems he doesn’t realize that the bombs once used killed both friend and foe alike, threatening all of humanity.” /ISNA
