Head of Gaza’s field hospitals warns of total healthcare collapse

Pars Today –The Head of the Field Hospitals Division of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Marwan Al-Hams has warned of the complete collapse of the health sector in the besieged territory.

He attributed the crisis to the depletion of fuel for power generators, which has caused 80% of hospitals to halt operations and left them unable to treat the thousands of war-wounded each day. “We are in a real emergency,” Al-Hams said, noting that hospitals are functioning at just 15 to 20 percent of their capacity. He warned that without an urgent supply of fuel, hundreds of patients will die. /IRNA
