Ahmadian: Persian Gulf security requires regional participation
Pars Today – The secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) has said that ensuring security in the Persian Gulf and among its interconnected states requires the participation of all regional countries.
In a phone conversation with UAE National Security Advisor Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ali Akbar Ahmadian expressed gratitude for the UAE’s condemnation of the Zionist regime’s aggression against Iran and discussed key regional issues, US and Israeli hostile actions, and bilateral ties.
Ahmadian told his Emirati counterpart that if the security of one country in the region faces an external threat, the entire region will be challenged. He reiterated Iran’s principled policy of strengthening relations with its neighbors.
The Emirati official also acknowledged Iran’s key role in the region, stating that regional security must be ensured collectively by all countries in the area.
