Aragchi: SCO soon to go beyond regional level

Pars Today – Iran’s foreign minister said on Tuesday that the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is gradually strengthening its global presence and is moving beyond the regional stage, addressing diverse political, economic, and security issues.

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi stated that the SCO foreign ministers’ meeting would finalize the organization’s development strategy and its members states’ plans in the fields of energy, trade, and other sectors, and naturally include discussions on current international issues.

Referring to the aggressions of the Zionist regime and the United States against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Araghchi said: “Virtually all international and regional organizations, including the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and over 120 countries worldwide have condemned these actions and the attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, expressing solidarity and support for the Islamic Republic.”
