Governor of Herat: Committed to strengthening Iran-Afghanistan bilateral relations
Pars Today – The governor of Herat on Sunday expressed gratitude to the Islamic Republic of Iran for hosting Afghan migrants and emphasized the need to enhance bilateral relations in areas such as migration, security, transit, and investment.
Speaking at a joint meeting of economic activists with merchants and officials from Herat Province held at the Mashhad Chamber of Commerce, Mawlawi Noor Ahmad Islamjar highlighted Iran’s over four decades of hospitality toward Afghan refugees.
He stated that Iran has always warmly welcomed Afghan migrants, regardless of whether they hold legal documents, particularly during times of hardship and social crisis in Afghanistan.
The governor added: “We have always considered the Iranian people our brothers and friends. This hospitality reflects the deep Islamic and humanitarian solidarity between our two nations.”
