IRGC: The resilience of Gaza people today is a testament to their commitment to the ideal of Palestinian freedom
Pars Today - The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, in a statement on Saturday commemorated the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Ismail Haniyeh, the former head of Hamas' political bureau.
The IRGC in this statement described the resistance and resilience of the people of Gaza against genocide and the crimes perpetrated by the Zionist regime as a sign of their steadfastness to the ideal of Palestinian and Al-Quds freedom, continuing the path of this esteemed martyr and other history-making martyrs of the resistance.
In part of this statement, the IRGC stated: "The escalation of crimes by the Zionist regime in preventing the oppressed people of Gaza from accessing basic necessities of life such as water, food, and medicine is a blatant violation of human rights and international law, and can indeed be referred to as modern-day genocide." The statement added: "These major and anti-human crimes, despite the silence and support of some Western countries that claim to uphold human rights, have led to a rise in global protests against the actions of the Zionist regime, making it imperative for international institutions to respond to these medieval atrocities, thus placing them under the greatest historical test they have ever faced."
The statement also praised the global wave of support for the Palestinian people and the increasing condemnation of the occupying regime, describing this phenomenon as the enlightening impact of the blood of martyrs and the suffering of the people of Gaza.
