Defense Minister: Iran and Pakistan support each other on the international stage

Pars Today – Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics expressed confidence in Tehran and Islamabad’s alignment in supporting one another internationally, stating that shared opportunities and threats necessitate closer cooperation between the two countries.

Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, met with his Pakistani counterpart Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Saturday night during the official visit of Iran’s president to Islamabad.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, in response to an IRNA correspondent’s question, Nasirzadeh said:
“Fortunately, the two countries hold strong positions in supporting and backing each other on the international stage.”

He added that the grounds for cooperation are well-established in various areas, including culture, history, shared religious values, as well as common threats faced by both nations—factors that have led to the expansion of bilateral relations.
