Has Iran managed to increase its non-oil exports?
Pars Today – Iran’s non-oil exports have risen.
The head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization, announced that the total value of the country’s non-oil exports increased in the first half of 1404 (March–September 2025).
According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi, stated that the total value of non-oil exports reached $25.944 billion in the first six months of 1404, up from $25.922 billion during the same period in 1403.
Dehghan Dehnavi added that, in terms of weight, Iran’s non-oil exports also recorded a 6% increase. He noted that the value of imports to Iran in the first half of 1404 reached $28.367 billion.
Emphasizing the significant improvement in Iran’s trade balance, he said: “The trade deficit in the first half of 1403 stood at minus $7.5 billion, while this year it has improved to $4 billion, reflecting a 68% improvement.”
Dehghan Dehnavi, highlighting the strong performance of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s government, stated: “The year 1403 was exceptional and unprecedented in Iran’s non-oil export history. Non-oil exports reached $57 billion, marking a 15.8% increase compared to the previous year — a record high in the history of Iran’s exports.”
