Trump: Meeting with Putin was constructive; We agreed on many points

Pars Today – On Friday evening local time, after about three hours of talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Donald Trump claimed that the meeting was constructive and that the two sides had agreed on many points.

Speaking at a joint press conference broadcast live on U.S. television from Alaska, Trump began on a positive note, although he noted that some issues remain unresolved following his closed-door discussion with Putin. He asserted that his bilateral meeting with the Russian president produced “major progress,” with agreements reached on many points and only “very few” remaining issues.

Trump also mentioned that he would contact the President of Ukraine, European leaders, and NATO to update them on the latest developments from his meeting with Putin, adding: “So until an agreement is reached, no agreement is reached.”
