U.S. halts issuance of travel visas for people in Gaza

Pars Today – The U.S. Department of State, continuing its comprehensive support for Israel and its war against the people of Gaza, announced that all travel visas for residents of Gaza will be suspended.

In a statement on the social media platform X, the U.S. State Department wrote that all travel visas for people from Gaza will be suspended while a full and comprehensive review is conducted of the procedures used to issue a small number of temporary medical-humanitarian visas in recent days.

A U.S. State Department document indicates that the Donald Trump administration, in April, ordered a review of the social media accounts of all U.S. visa applicants who have traveled to the Gaza Strip on or after January 1, 2007. /IRNA
