Pars Today – Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, emphasizing the strategic nature of relations between Iran and Russia, stated that bilateral cooperation—regardless of global political circumstances—is moving toward sustainable development. He added that the comprehensive strategic treaty sets out the roadmap for the next 20 years of these relations.
Alexander Novak, Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister, said during a meeting with Iran’s ambassador to Moscow, Kazem Jalali, that relations between Iran and Russia are long-term and will continue independently of political developments.
Novak described Russian-Iranian cooperation in the energy sector as “strategic and multifaceted,” adding that coordination between Tehran and Moscow also continues within international organizations such as OPEC, BRICS, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
According to the official website of the Russian government, the Russian Deputy Prime Minister and the Iranian ambassador emphasized the importance of implementing the “Comprehensive Strategic Treaty between Iran and Russia,” which entered into force last month.
This document reinforces the special status of bilateral relations and sets a framework for cooperation in defense, economic, energy, scientific, and cultural fields over the next two decades.
Iranian and Russian officials believe that the implementation of this agreement will deepen bilateral ties and strengthen the path toward sustainable and multilateral cooperation. /IRIB
