Pars Today – Iran’s President has stressed that all domestic and international experts believe Iran is the real winner of the Islamabad understanding, saying that the understanding and agreement reached at Iran’s Supreme National Security Council was a major and exceptional achievement.

According to Pars Today, citing IRNA, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking on a special news program on Friday evening, said: “If we have reached this point today, it is because of the unity and cohesion we have. Had this unity and cohesion not existed, the enemy would have achieved its sinister objectives. We must cherish our national unity and cohesion and work to preserve it.”

Referring to the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, Pezeshkian said: “The understanding and agreement reached at Iran’s Supreme National Security Council was a major and exceptional achievement.”

He added: “We reached this understanding through collective wisdom. The political assessment of all domestic and foreign experts also confirms that Iran is the winner of the Islamabad understanding.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Pezeshkian said: “We must strengthen our diplomacy and maintain good relations with our neighboring countries, in line with the views of our dear Leader and our martyred Leader. Most of Iran’s neighbors are Islamic countries, and we must reach a common understanding with them and jointly guarantee regional security. Achieving this goal requires dialogue and engagement.”

Iran’s president said: “We must join hands to bring peace and stability to the region and not allow Israel to so easily launch aggression against Islamic countries. This can only be achieved through unity.”
