Pars Today – The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran described U.S. President Donald Trump’s message on the social network “Social Truth” and his reference to the statements of an Iranian citizen from three years ago as politically motivated.

On Monday evening, in response to the publication of remarks made three years ago by Ali Motahari, former member of Iran’s Parliament, on Social Truth (intended to question the peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program), Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Foreign Ministry, wrote:

"In his relentless effort to justify an illegal attack on Iran’s peaceful nuclear facilities, Donald Trump consciously ignores the testimony of a senior U.S. intelligence official before Congress in March 2025, which stated that the Islamic Republic is not pursuing nuclear weapons, and instead relies on the personal analysis of an Iranian citizen from 2022. This clearly demonstrates the political, rather than factual, nature of Trump’s claims."
