EU: Iran’s Nuclear Issue Can Only Be Resolved Through Diplomacy

Pars Today – The spokesperson for the European Union stated that the move by three European parties to the JCPOA to activate the snapback mechanism does not signal the end of Brussels’ role in coordinating the agreement, and there is still an opportunity to find a political solution. The spokesperson emphasized that the only way to reach an agreement on Iran’s nuclear dossier is through negotiation and diplomacy.

Anouar El-Anouni, EU spokesperson, added that although the 30-day snapback period has begun, this does not mean diplomacy has ended; on the contrary, it presents a new opportunity. Claiming that the ball is now in Iran’s court, he said that the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs will make every effort to find a negotiated solution, as only a diplomatic solution can address Iran’s nuclear issue.

The EU spokesperson stressed that there is now a 30-day window to reach a solution. The High Representative remains determined to play an active role and has called on all parties to act swiftly in this regard. /IRIB News Agency
