Pars Today – An American publication, in an analytical report, highlighted the failure of the Zionist regime to achieve its strategic objectives in the West Asia region.

According to Pars Today, the American journal Foreign Affairs, reviewing developments after the Gaza war, emphasizes that despite its military superiority, Israel has been unable to establish its desired regional order or gain the trust of Arab countries.

Defeats in Gaza and Lebanon

Foreign Affairs wrote that following Hamas attacks in October 2023, Israel launched a series of military operations against the Axis of Resistance. Despite extensive attacks on Gaza, assassinations of resistance commanders in Lebanon and Syria, and even bombing Iranian military facilities, none of its strategic objectives were achieved. The Hamas resistance movement remains active in Gaza, Hezbollah has refused to disarm, and Iran has managed to maintain the cohesion of the Axis of Resistance.

Shift in regional order

The American journal, referring to geopolitical changes in the region, writes that the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf no longer view Israel as a guarantor of their interests and, instead of confronting Iran, have moved toward reconciliation with Tehran. Israel’s attack on a building in Qatar during Hamas negotiations also marked a turning point in Tel Aviv’s further regional decline — to the extent that even U.S. President Donald Trump expressed dissatisfaction with Israel’s actions.

Decline of Israel’s hegemonic role

Foreign Affairs wrote that the Zionist regime, which considered itself a regional hegemon, now shows a more evident decline in influence and legitimacy. The destruction of Gaza and the threat of expelling millions of Palestinians have not only weakened Israel’s standing in the world but have also turned it into a potential threat to Arab regimes.

The American journal further warns that without unconditional U.S. support, Israel’s military superiority would quickly collapse.

Proposed solution: Peace and a Palestinian state

Foreign Affairs, at the conclusion of its report, emphasizes that the only way to achieve a stable order in the region is to take serious steps toward establishing an independent Palestinian state and ending Israel’s military adventurism. The Zionist regime’s criminal actions have not only failed but have also led to its further isolation at both the regional and global levels.
