Iranian Army Spokesperson: US has become strategically isolated

Pars Today – The spokesperson for Iran’s Army has said that, for the first time since World War II, the United States has become strategically isolated, adding that Washington’s objective in launching an illegal war against Iran is to destroy Iranian-Islamic civilization.

According to Pars Today, citing IRIB News Agency, Brigadier General Amir Akraminia, spokesperson for Iran’s Army, made the remarks on Wednesday.

He said that a key distinction between the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the armed forces of other countries is its reliance on divine faith and spirituality. He added that the Army’s Ideological-Political Organization has played an effective role in fostering a spiritual atmosphere and discourse within the military.

Referring to the enemies’ unjust aggression against Iran in the recent war, Akraminia stressed the need to counter false narratives promoted by the adversary to portray itself as victorious. He said cultural figures and institutions in society have a very important responsibility in this regard.

Brigadier General Akraminia highlighted the importance of generating power, particularly soft power, saying: “Soft power entered the discourse of military affairs and international relations in the late 20th century. It complements and reinforces hard power, and developing soft power within the Army is of great importance.”

Referring to recent remarks by US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, he said Rubio’s recent speech at the Acropolis in Greece was part of the adversary’s ongoing efforts to undermine the foundations of soft power.

He added that, unlike previous US claims that Washington’s hostility was directed solely at the Islamic Republic system and that it had no problem with the civilized Iranian people, the US secretary of state’s remarks had removed the mask from the country’s hypocritical face, revealing what he described as its anti-civilizational nature and hegemonic mindset.

“The objective of US rulers in launching the ongoing war is to destroy Iranian-Islamic civilization, not merely to overthrow the political system of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” he said.

The Iranian Army spokesperson added that US leaders had believed that by assassinating the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and military commanders, they could intimidate the Iranian people and force them to surrender. However, he said, the Iranian people’s awareness, courage, and historic resistance had astonished their adversaries and thwarted their objectives.
