Pars Today – The Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah emphasized that the United States claims to seek a solution to Lebanon’s problems, but it is neither an impartial nor an honest mediator; rather, it is a partner in the Zionist regime’s aggression and occupation.
According to Pars Today citing IRNA, Sheikh Naeem Qassem, Secretary-General of Lebanon’s Hezbollah, said Friday that the Lebanese president’s call for the army to confront Zionist aggression is a responsible and reliable stance. He added that this position must be strengthened through unity and urged the government to develop a plan to support the armed forces so they can face the enemy.
The Hezbollah leader stressed that they will reclaim their land through unity and cooperation, and that the resistance’s goal is liberation, whereas the enemy’s goal is occupation. “Everyone in Lebanon is responsible for this,” he said, adding, “We do not seek to replace anyone, and those who accuse us of that should stop.”
Sheikh Qassem emphasized that all conditions and pressures must be applied to force the Israeli regime to abide by the agreement. He said if Israel seeks security for its settlements, that has been included in the agreement; but if it seeks to strip Lebanon of its means of power, that would be a step toward creating a ‘Greater Israel’ and we will not accept it.
Qassem described Lebanon’s strength as a firm, deterrent barrier and reiterated: “The resistance is the source of Lebanon’s strength and must be protected.”
He concluded by warning that adopting Israel’s logic or justifying it under various pretexts changes nothing and only serves the enemy. “Those who keep finding excuses should stop,” he said, “because the more united we are, the sooner we can secure Lebanon’s sovereignty and independence.”
