Iranians remember innocent victims of airliner downed by US

TEHRAN (FNA)- On July 3, 1988, Iran Air Flight 655 (IR655) was shot down by USS Vincennes which led to the loss of the lives of 290 innocent civilians from six nations, including 66 children and 38 non-Iranians. The United States claimed later that this was an accident caused by human error, but awarded a medal of honor to the captain of the warship. [PHOTOS]
