Olympics volleyball qualifiers: Iran 3-0 Mexico

Iran National Volleyball Team (Team Melli) have taken another step towards qualification for the 2020 Olympics after a straight sets victory against Mexico.

According to Press TV, the Iranians got off to a perfect start, taking the first set 25-18 in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg.

The Asian aces did not relent in the next set and claimed it 25-21.

The third set, however, was a much closer affair, but Iran still managed to clinch it 27-25 to wrap up the victory.

The Asian powerhouse who had come from 2 sets down to defeat Cuba in their first game will meet Russia in their final game on Sunday.
