  • Iran refutes allegation of role in Delhi blast

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson dismissed as “childish mischief” the accusations linking Tehran to an IED explosion near the Israeli embassy in New Delhi.

According to Tasnim news agency, in comments at a weekly press conference on Monday, Sa'eed Khatibzadeh rejected the allegations raised by the Zionist regime that Iran may have been involved in the explosion of a low-intensity bomb outside the Israeli embassy in India.

The source of such a childish mischief is clear, he said, adding, “The relations between Iran and India are growing, as the two countries have held political consultations at the level of director generals recently. We share views on regional issues, including on Afghanistan. We have good cooperation in the Chabahar Port.”

The spokesman also noted that Zionist regime steps up threats whenever it is in a state of weakness.

Iran does not resort to threats, but is ready to show appropriate response, he added.

Indian security agencies have launched an investigation into the IED blast outside the Israeli embassy on Friday evening.

Israel’s Ambassador to India Ron Malka says there were no injuries in the minor blast and all the officials are "safe at home." He added that it is too early to name any group as Israel and India are working together to find out the perpetrators and motivation behind the attack.
