Tajikistan willing to use Iran's technologies in transport and logistics
On the sidelines of launching a freight train from Tajikistan to Turkey on a new route through Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran's territories, transport officials of Iran and Tajikistan met and conferred to advance transport cooperation and exchange transport technologies.
According to mrud news, during the visit of Iran's transport delegation to Dushanbe to attend the launching ceremony of a multimodal transport corridor along Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, and Turkey's territories, transport officials of Iran and Tajikistan hold various meetings.
In this visit, Iran’s Deputy Transport Minister, Shahriyar Afandizadeh, met with the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan and introduced Iran's capabilities and smart technologies in transport and logistics.
In the joint meeting, Tajikistan's minister expressed preparedness of its country to transit freight from Iran's territory. He also introduced a representative to analyze Iran's routes along the International North-South Transport Corridor (INSTC) and to become acquainted with the facilities and costs. Also, a Tajik delegation is expected to pay a visit to Iran's transport projects before long.
Additionally, Tajikistan declared its willingness to use Iran’s new technologies in rail and road transport and logistics.
Noteworthy, the first freight train from Tajikistan transited through Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, and Iran's territories to destination of Turkey and the launching ceremony was held in Dushanbe on October 17.
