Terrorist killed in attack on military base in SW Iran

One of two terrorists who attacked a military base in Iran’s southwestern Province of Khuzestan has been killed, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced.

According to Tasnim news agency, the IRGC said in a statement on Sunday that a terrorist team attacked a military base in the city of Mahshahr at 02:25 a.m. local time on November 6.

The security forces took action in response and fired shots at the assailants, who were on a motorcycle, the statement noted, adding that one of the terrorists was wounded and succumbed to injuries later.

Security and intelligence measures are underway to identify and arrest the second assailant, who is still at large, it added.
