  • Iran's president urges Islamic unity against Zionist regime

President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi emphasized the need for unity and coordination among Islamic countries to prevent the repetition of Zionist regime’s crimes in Al-Aqsa Mosque and against fasting Palestinian people.

According to Tasnim news agency, in a telephone conversation with Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, on Thursday afternoon, President Raeisi, congratulated the people and government of Qatar on Eid al-Fitr and the beginning of the month of Shawwal.

He emphasized that expanding and strengthening relations with neighboring countries is a priority of Iran's foreign policy and that regional progress can only be achieved through dialogue, interaction, and cooperation between regional nations.

He said also the regional progress were possible in the shadow of dialogues, interactions and cooperation between the countries of the region.

The president stressed the need for unity and coordination among Islamic countries to prevent such actions by the Zionist regime and support the oppressed people of Palestine.

For his part, Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani congratulated Iran on Eid al-Fitr and expressed his country's readiness to develop relations with Iran in all areas.

Al Thani also strongly condemned the Zionist regime's recent aggressions against Palestinians, reiterating his country's support for the oppressed people and condemnation of the regime's actions.
