Iranian archer snatches gold medal in Singapore 2023 Asia Cup

Iranian archer Mohammad-saleh Palizban has displayed awe-inspiring performances at the Singapore 2023 Asia Cup leg 3, and managed to pick up a gold medal at the continental tournament.

According to Press TV, on Saturday, the 28-year-old athlete competed in the final match of the men's individual compound section at the Bukit Gombak Stadium in Singapore, and scored 148 points to snatch gold.

Mohd Juwaidi Mazuki of Malaysia received the silver medal with a total score of 147 points. 

The bronze medal went to South Korean contestant Jaewon Yang after edging his Indian rival Priyansh.

Earlier in the semi-finals, Palizban had defeated Priyansh 150-146.

The Singapore 2023 Asia Cup leg 3 opened on June 5 and concluded on June 10.

The six-day event featured over 200 archers from 22 Asian countries.
