Iran’s oil minister leaves for Moscow to partake in Russia's Energy Week
Iran’s Oil Minister Javad Owji left Tehran for Moscow on Wednesday morning to take part in the Russian Energy Week and deliver a speech on the second day of the event.
According to Tasnim news agency, the Russian Energy Week is slated to kick off in Moscow today and run through October 13.
According to the scheduled program, Iran’s oil minister will participate in a specialized meeting on “Global Oil and Gas Market: Surveying a Turbulent Period” in the Russian Energy Week.
It comes as the global oil and gas market is once again experiencing a more challenging period as a result of pressures from political factors.
The sanctions imposed against Russia, moves taken by the Western countries on energy policies and increasing volatility in energy prices have created an unprecedented level of uncertainty in the international market.
This issue has led to an imbalance in the energy market which has a negative impact on economies across the globe and consequently, it has created unprecedented inflation in many countries of the world.
For Russia, which is considered one of the largest producers of energy in the world, this situation is a serious challenge but it has created new opportunities as well.
The Russian Energy Week 2023 will be held in Moscow for a period of three days with the motto of “New Reality of Global Energy: Building the Future” with the participation of oil ministers and outstanding experts of the oil industry from various countries.
