Ayatollah Khamenei castigates Western view on woman

Pars Today - It is a famous proposition that the West kept claiming support for women's rights in media horns and propaganda, but in practice it has used them as instrument as much as it has been able.

Now, on the occasion of the International Women's Day, we cast a glance at some criticisms and questions posed by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution as a serious critic of the present day Western look and conduct on the field of women.

Why is woman's recklessness in the Western environments, to keep her female respect and personality, is on the rise on a daily basis and woman's respect is more and more going into pieces day by day?

Why can a woman participate half-naked in the official sessions held in Europe and America, while a man should wear full suit and necktie or bowtie? Why? Why should a woman come in that way, [while] if a man, in official sessions, for example comes with shorts, has done a misbehavior? What is the reason? There is no harm, if a woman comes with miniskirt, but if the clothes of this [man] is a little light, it is wrong? Why?

Why are immorality and prostitution promoted in Western environments on a daily basis? This is happening.

Why is homosexuality recognized as a progressive method, so that, if a one rejects it, will be considered as a backward thought, a backward person and a backward nation? Why? It is promoted both in political environments, [and] in social environments. Presidents and officials of countries are promoting it and some are boastful of being so? Why? What kind of logic is this?

Why are the trilateral or quadrilateral sexual issues, in the reckless Western environments, according to the statistics that they themselves show and the information that we have and know, not implicit information; they are explicit information- increasing day by day?

Whatever is destroying family is on the rise in the West on a daily basis. All of these things are annihilating family essence. Sexual freedom and extremism in spread of sexual harassment annihilates family.

A few years ago, I quoted from the book of one of the American presidents (A Call to Action) by Jimmy Carter. The statistics are horrible in the true sense of the word, the statistics of sexual aggressions harassments, the statistics of promiscuity.

Sexual harassment has no punishment. It is not punished, but hijab is punished! If a rascal, a hooligan harasses a hijab-clad woman, and he is summoned to the court, then he stabs the woman and kills her, there is no harm in it! [a reference to murdering Marwa Sherbini in 2009, when an Egyptian woman living in Germany, who was stabbed 18 times by a Russian-German named Alex Vinz, who had been complained by her due to insult and the woman was killed in the court.] Now, for instance, he is imprisoned for a while, but this fight against hijab and confronting hijab is not absolutely considered as an ugly act. Why?

These questions are unanswered. They do not answer them [because] there is no logic.

An Iranian, for example an Iranian official who has taken part in a large European or American complex, is asked if he agrees with homosexuality? If he says no, he will be howled! What is the reason? What is the logic behind this? There is no answer.

It means the West has no logic for it behavior toward the issue of "woman" and the relevant issues and the behavior that it being done toward the community of women. That's why they escape from debate, talking and discussion in these issues.

I said that they push forward their approach with tools. And they are very skilled in these works. They make films, they write books, they write articles, they spend money, they bring artistic, cultural and political personalities to speak. They set up international centers- centers related to women- and these so-called international centers score any country that is opposed to them, judge it and rank it at the bottom of the list.

I say that the approach and policy of the Western civilization towards the very important and vital topic of "woman" is summarized in two factors: "profiteering" and "pleasure-seeking".
