Pars Today- Hamid Nouri, an Iranian citizen who had been illegally and inhumanely detained by the Swedish government, said the claims of the Westerners on human rights are false.

Hamid Nouri, an Iranian citizen who had gone to Sweden to settle family differences with his step-daughter, was detained on November 9, 2019, upon his arrival by the country's security forces. The Swedish court, repeating the allegations of the MKO terrorist grouplet, sentenced Nouri to life in prison on July 14, 2022. But, after 1680 days in prison, he returned home in mid-June 2024. According to Pars Today, Hamid Nouri said, "The Westerners' claims about the defense of human rights are ridiculous as they have seized the word human rights and mocked it."

He added, "These very claimers of human rights detained me, who am an ordinary citizen and had gone on a trip, and they imprisoned me in solitary confinement for more than 1600 days."

The Iranian citizen released from the Swedish prison said that he had undergone a variety of physical and psychological tortures.

Nouri reiterated, "The measure that was taken against me is an example of American, Western, and Swedish human rights."
