Pars Today - In a meeting with the Iranian ambassador in Jakarta, the Indonesian deputy health minister called for expanding cooperation between the two countries in the health sector.

At a ceremony for the delivery of Iranian-made laparoscopy simulation equipment in Jakarta, Dante Saksono expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries in the health sector under the management of Iran's President-elect, Masoud Pezeshkian, would bring about significant developments in Indonesia's health and medical treatment.

According to Pars Today, Saksono referred to Iran's medical advancements and noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran's role in manufacturing laparoscopy simulation equipment has paved the way for Iranian investment in Indonesia's health services sector.

At the ceremony held at RSCM Hospital, in the presence of the Iranian ambassador, Saksono emphasized that laparoscopy has brought about significant changes in surgery, reducing the need for invasive surgery and minimizing pain, leading to faster recovery and better results.

Saksono also mentioned that the late Iranian President, Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi, had introduced Iranian-made ureteroscopy simulation equipment to the Indonesian President last year, and that Indonesia had made good progress in the health sector thanks to Raeisi's commitment and cooperation.

Saksono further explained that this simulation equipment has empowered Indonesian medical professionals, researchers, and doctors.

Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad Boroujerdi, also attended the ceremony and visited the Iranian-made laparoscopy simulation equipment, emphasizing that the late Iranian President's visit to Jakarta last year was a turning point in expanding relations between the two countries.

Boroujerdi stated that one year after the visit, we are witnessing the effects and blessings of the late President's trip in various scientific and academic circles in Indonesia.

The laparoscopy simulation equipment, which is crucial in medical education, was presented to the Indonesian President as a sample of Iranian young engineers' technical and engineering capabilities to pave the way for exporting Iranian medical equipment to Indonesia.

This device, which is crucial in medical education institutions, has been built by young Iranian specialists and can meet students' needs like foreign samples while being exported to developing countries at a lower price.

In 2023, a contract was also signed to establish two remote surgery centers with the presence of Iranian specialists in two Indonesian cities.

Iran and Indonesia have friendly relations in various fields, particularly in health and medical treatment. According to senior officials of both countries, these relations are expected to expand and strengthen.
