Largest smart hospital in West Asia to be built in Shiraz
Pars Today- With the approval of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the approval of the Economic Council, the largest smart hospital in West Asia, named Mohammad Rasoul Allah Hospital, will be built in Shiraz, the capital of Fars Province, Iran.
Mohammad Hadi Imanieh, the governor of Fars, announced on Saturday on the sidelines of a trip to Tehran that he had negotiated with Iran’s First Vice President to approve the financing of the construction of the 1,400-bed Mohammad Rasoul Allah Hospital in Shiraz at the Iranian Economic Council.
He said that with the approval of this issue in the Economic Council, the largest smart hospital in West Asia will be built in this city.
According to Pars Today, the Islamic Republic of Iran has built several smart super-hospitals, including Hazrat Mahdi Hospital, in recent years with the aim of promoting the health of Iranians and medical tourism.
According to a report by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of the Islamic Republic of Iran, 20% of tourists who come to Iran travel for the purpose of treating diseases and promoting health. It is expected that with the efforts of senior officials, Iran's health tourism sector will experience significant growth in the coming years.
Currently, citizens of Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Armenia, Tajikistan, and countries on the southern coast of the Persian Gulf, such as Oman and Bahrain, have the most trips for health tourism to Iran. Iran's progress in the field of health and medicine in recent years has made the country one of the medical hubs in the region.
Iran's ranking among the top three countries in bone marrow transplantation, infertility treatment, and fourth in the world in orthopedics and organ transplantation are among Iran's advances in the medical field. Iran also ranks seventh in the world in producing drugs for special diseases and is among the top five countries in the world in cochlear implantation.
